Get on stage and look for something, granting for ourselves the freedom to decide anything at any moment.
This is the real Sensori Emotivi starting point, a project conceived by Paolo Favati, a historical Independent Music representative, to celebrate  his coming back to the sound world. He is now cooperating with Carlo Gatteschi, composer and eclectic saxophone player; Bruno Briscik, a Hendrix like cello player and Isabella Panero, video maker and director. The concert is performed like a way through the research of a new space to be defined in order to express some already-thought thoughts. To confront thoughts on stage with the other players, talking everyone’s own language.
That’s how those different instruments got together and became compatible through every single player will. The machine’s coldness, the warmth of a brass, the sharp melody of a string, the coloured wandering of a video camera. This was not just a concert, nor a simple visual performance. What took place on that stage is a pure Musical Action where sounds articulate with the rhythms of images and vice versa all in accordance to a coherent orchestration directed by Paolo Favati. In this sense, the video camera is played live exactly as a musical instrument producing images instead of sounds indeed blending with the others.
All is improvisation, nothing is casual. All takes place with the creative freedom of every player who introduces, with his own instrument, new expressive formulas into the same Musical Action. That’s why Sensori Emotivi contains the expression of various instruments played by different players, whose professional roots grow in worlds that apparently cannot approach each other.
