A strong accent on melodies guarantees easy listening. [02] OTERO - Lagerblumen A great singer who leads you across electro. Every song is a treasure to discover. [03] WAVE WORKERS FOUNDATION - In The Whirlpool The band, formed by 4 elements, creates songs that are inserted in the electronic context with a strong attention to the groove. The architectural sounds made by WWF are supported by bass lines in perfect tuning with highly rhythmic drums. [04] HERE - Cello A good mix of electronic ad songwriting. A song that echoes contemporary sounds merging rock, drum'n'bass and electro. [05] FABBA - Goodnight The sound that Fabba evokes in his productions reflects the presence of experimental and dance attitude, realizing drum'n'bass songs with a powerful impact. Massive bass lines, nevertheless melodic, are lead by frantic jungle drums. [06] ALEX D. STEAK - Crossing The passion for analogical machines and for their warm sound is the main characteristic of Alex D. Steak, a young artist that proposes old-fashioned style sounds with great refinement and personality. [07] LEFT-RIGHT - Speechlessness In the timbral and rhythmic experimentation, the duo Left-Right, proposes electro-songs that distinguish themselves for their successful blending between ambient and breakbeat. The creative melodies find their natural context in mellow synths and refined rhythmics. [08] INDEFATIGABLE NEURAL SYSTEM - Virs This american artist's productions are an electro-mixture of classical sounds and the most progressive noise accompanied by a certain irony towards the sonorous matter that emphasizes the man-machine-toy relationship. [09] WEIRD UNCLE BETTY - Lolita The WUB's compositions can be better defined as 'hardcore' beatz. In the use of samplings taken from 'core' movies on typical tuneful sounds and big beatz rhythms, 'uncle betty' expresses all his 'weird' existence in his whirling life-style. [10] L.I.N. - A Six Foot Statue The scratching, hard rhythms are a constant in the compositions of a band that moving forward towards experimentation expresses itself with noise sonorities. The breakbeat carries the song with a dance attitude and an aggressive feeling. [11] KILOTON - Transfixed The artist draws from his dub/techno post industrial experiences to develop somber sounds with saturated and extreme rhythmics (break-noise). The result, never conciliatory, evokes dark dimensions for nevrotic dancefloors. [12] MANERGY - I'm Beyond With a sound that hits hard, Manergy produces songs that fuse metal (sharp voices and mighty guitars) and hardstep jungle drums. On such sonorous substance are set in disturbed lyrics and sharp tunes. [13] DKEA - br16-III1 The song inserted in this compilation was taken from the Album CD of DKEA (1997, I Dischi del Mulo/C.P.I.). |
